Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about free Grokker access for businesses and organizations during the Coronavirus / COVID-19 outbreak
- What is the offer?
Grokker is making its video wellbeing solution available for free to businesses, membership organizations, and schools from now until April 30, 2020.
- What is included?
Employees, contractors, members and their families will have unlimited access to the full suite of holistic wellbeing programs and videos - including fitness, mental health, nutrition, sleep, and financial wellness - as well as all user features such as streaks, programs, public challenges, the Grokker community, and GrokTalk.
- Can my spouse/child/etc. use my free Grokker account?
We believe wellbeing is important for the whole family and encourage users to share their account with their family members. While we do not provide content for children under 13 years of age, our users report that their teens often find Grokker extremely helpful - especially fitness and mental health topics.
- Will organizations have access to enterprise dashboards, tracking and analytics?
Not with this free offering.
- Will anyone at my organization be able to see what content users are accessing?
Not unless the user chooses to specifically share it with the community.
- Why are you making this offer?
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have warned that community spread in the U.S. is highly likely, and urged Americans to gear up for a significant disruption in their daily lives. As a result, health officials may implement mandated "workplace social distancing measures". Several states have already declared a state of emergency, with schools and other organizations closing their doors and employers asking employees to work from home.
What this means is that many people no longer have access to the health and fitness resources that they are used to, whether at their gym, workplace, or other group setting. In addition, some are experiencing heightened levels of stress and anxiety related to Coronavirus, as well as this sudden, increased isolation.
As concerns over this outbreak grew, our clients began reaching out, asking for any help we could provide as they grappled with office closings and the mental and emotional effects on their employees. At that point we realized we have so much content to help people with - we should make it free to everyone who needs it during this crunch time. So the company got together and agreed as a team that as we have the ability to help people through this difficult time then we should - because it’s the right thing to do.
- What are the requirements to qualify for this free offer?
Grokker is available to any business, member organization, or school who would like to offer the service to their employees, contractors, members and their families during the Coronavirus / COVID-19 outbreak.
- Is this offer available internationally or only for US individuals and companies?
This offer is available to everyone, everywhere; however, with the exception of content provided in Mandarin, Korean and Spanish, non-English speakers may not get full value from our content.
- How do I sign my organization up?
Organizations who would like to offer Grokker free to their employees, contractors, members and their families need only have an authorized company representative apply for the free service and provide some basic information such as the number of users they will offer the free service to, etc.
- I’m already a Grokker customer, will my access be free through April 30, 2020?
Current clients and members are not eligible for this free offer.
- How will the free access to Grokker be distributed to employees and members?
Organizations will receive a welcome email template they may customize as needed describing the free offering, instructions for accessing Grokker, along with a URL to distribute via their own communications channels.
- Why would organizations choose to sign up for an organizational offering rather than just directing employees to the individual free sign up page?
Employees and members with a custom access URL from their organization will not be required to provide a credit card for authorization.
- Why do organizations with 5000K+ employees have a separate signup process?
For workforces with over 5K employees we will custom provision licenses.
- What happens when the free access ends on April 30, 2020?
organizations who want to extend access for their users, as well as gain access to an enterprise dashboard, engagement and management tools should contact email@example.com. Otherwise their users will lose free access to Grokker on May 1, 2020.
- What if the outbreak is not contained by April 30, 2020?
We will be continuing to assess the situation on a daily basis and will make updates to the program as needed.
- What if my users have questions or problems with the product?
Users will have full access to the same Help Center resources available to consumers.
